Farasjo (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is Jordan's digital atlas of equestrian heritage, operated from Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you when you use our platform at farasjo.com. By using the platform you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

  • Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and profile details via Clerk Authentication.
  • Usage data: We record searches, stable views, article reads, and other interactions to understand how the platform is used and to improve it.
  • Location preferences: We collect your selected governorate or city to provide relevant local results. We do not access your device GPS without explicit consent.
  • Stable owner data: If you register a stable listing, we collect your business name, contact details, address, operating hours, and listing content.
  • Correspondence: Messages sent via inquiry forms may be stored to facilitate communication between users and stable owners.

How We Use Your Information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Farasjo platform and its features.
  • To personalise your discovery experience — recommending stables, breeds, and articles relevant to you.
  • To communicate service updates, security notices, and equestrian news you have opted into.
  • To process inquiries between platform users and stable owners.
  • To ensure platform safety, detect abuse, and prevent fraudulent activity.
  • To comply with applicable Jordanian laws and legal obligations.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Clerk: Authentication and identity management. Your login credentials are managed by Clerk and are not stored directly on Farasjo servers.
  • Cloudinary: Image hosting and delivery for stable galleries and profile photos.
  • Vercel: Hosting infrastructure for the web platform.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties for commercial purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active on the platform. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymised, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for platform analytics and improvement purposes.

Your Rights

In accordance with the Jordanian Personal Data Protection Law and in alignment with GDPR principles, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Objection: Object to the processing of your data for certain purposes.
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
